This post by The Quince yesterday has proven prescient:
Judging by the level of talks we ought to see at least two more deadline beating trades this year.
Trade #1:
TenQ sends Eli Manning ($3 L2)
QBC sends #11 pick in the 2012 Draft
Trade #2:
Quince sends the #1 pick in the 2012 Draft
DBQ send the #2 pick in the 2012 Draft and Eagles Defense ($10 L2)
Trade stipulations: DBQ cannot take Trent Richardson and cannot trade the pick
QSN believes that the “cannot take” a player clause clearly constitutes collusion between owners and should be rejected by the Commissioner. Let us know in the comments if you agree.
I am not sure of the precedent, but sure smells like collusion.
Trade #1 draft pick traded in Fantrax.
Trade #2 draft picks traded in Fantrax.
