Pope Paul’s email to QFL1 today serves as a good reminder to all of QFL Nation that the 16-18 player roster compliance rule is about to kick in next Thursday, October 7th at 11:59PM ET. Each league treats QFL Europe compliance a little differently so be sure to stay on top of your League’s specific policy, otherwise all active rosters should be trimmed by the deadline or face massive fines. In order to trim your roster, you may drop or trade players to your PS or IR squads while always adhering to the maximum $100 salary cap (on your active roster + IR), position minimums and overall active roster size of 16-18 players.
From Pope Paul
Rosters and QFL Europe:
On Thursday, October 7 at 11:59 P.M. ET, rosters must be reduced to 18
active players. In addition, QFL Europe players must be placed on a
team’s practice squad by the week 4 cut-down date and at that time
DESIGNATED for QFL Europe. Designation is an affirmative act that
requires you to email your QFLE keepers to the commissionerq yahoo
address. If I do not receive a designation from you, I will assume
that your practice squad players were not sent or are otherwise
ineligible for QFLE (for instance, if a player has started for your
team this year, he can sit on your PS but is ineligible for QFLE). If
you forget to designate, I will allow you designate on Friday if you
accept the standard fine.
LeagueSafe:After Saturday, October 10, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. CDT, you will not be
allowed to make any further payments to leaguesafe until the end of
the season. As such, if you miss the deadline, you will owe an extra
$50 before the Superbowl (nobody has informed me that they are
interested in the $200 now–$225 later option, but let me know ASAP if
that is the case).
