As we approach the end of the NFL season, it’s time to start thinking about next year 🙂 The idea of a QFL Convention has been discussed.
I have identified the weekend of 8/11 to 8/13 as the optimal weekend. The idea would be that all QFL leagues are represented and theoretically hold all auctions that weekend live in Vegas. If for some reason it was not possible to hold the auction for a particular league, any individual auction could be done remotely at a later date.
With 4 leagues and 48 possible attendees, we do have some buying power. I tested the market a little and was able to secure a rate of $109 per night at Treasure Island based on a 20-room block. So lodging costs should be reasonable, but the earlier we commit and book something, the better off we will be.
The Deuce is already on notice of this possible date and venue. Could the rest of you have some discussion and figure out if this will work for you and your leagues?
Also, looks like either Quimby, FahQ or SOQ/UQ will win the post season tournament. Quimby leads by 18 and has Coleman, Freeman and Bryant left. FAHQ has them plus Julio and Ryan. SOQ/UQ have the Brady, Blount, Edelman, Bennett, Gostkowski and NE D side of the equation. Good luck to all, but seriously, unless you are from the New England area, you are rooting for Atlanta right?
