#QFL Nation won’t count the TD… unless it counts. Only in the QFL would this statement be true. While most leagues, including ESPN, don’t count Cobb’s fumble in standard scoring, in QFL it will count, BUT only if it changes the outcome of the game and the owner properly challenges the score in accordance with Rule 3, Section 2, Article 1. Duh. You didn’t know that?

Here is video of the play.

The applicable sections of the Constitution.

“…where an offensive player recovers a fumble in the endzone, absent multiple changes of possession, the offensive player (not the D/STs unit) is credited with a touchdown.”

This is different than.

“After multiple changes of possession during a single play, the D/STs unit (not an offensive player) is credited with a turnover and/or touchdown for the second turnover.”

Further.

“In situations where an owner realizes that one of these situations has affected his team’s ability to win a game or a skin, points will be changed in the software, provided that (1) the owner raises this issue in accordance will Rule 3, Section 2, Article 1, and (2) these points are the deciding factor in determining the outcome of a game and/or skin.”

Rule 3, Section 2, Article 1.

“Article 1 If a team wishes to dispute the results of a head-to-head match, the team must notify a League Officer within 2 weeks of the match or the score is considered final.”

From Scott (the now defacto and semi-permanent QFL Nation Commissioner).

So basically we have to wait until we see the final score and then adjust the score manually in the software if necessary.

For other leagues, there is no action unless the Cobb owners raises the issue per the process outlined above.

Basically you just get screwed out of those points for slaggers’ dues ($1.5) if it didn’t change the outcome of the game for you.
