Yes it does. But the purpose of this post is to encourage discussion of new rules. QFL Prime Commissioner Ted tried earlier this year to stimulate a discussion using Google forums. That experiment is ongoing.

Current QFL Masters Commissioner Nik is deferring to the next Commissioner how to handle the circumstances under which the worst team is determined and replaced by the QFL Nation SuperQuince winner. Clearly there is a need to discuss rule changes and come to a consensus.

Just this last off-season several rule changes were proposed but all failed to gain the necessary 2/3 majority, for the second year in a row.

All 3 rule change proposals for 2015 were defeated (again):

#1 Empty Backfield Proposal = 5 votes in favor, 7 against

#2 ComCom Expansion = 5 votes in favor, 7 against

#3 Reduced Roster Minimums = 6 votes in favor, 6 against

Additionally, the proposal to amend the Auction process where restricted free agents are bid on prior to unrestricted free agents failed in ComCom and won’t advance to a league-wide vote.

What new rules would you recommend? More keepers? Less? More rounds to the rookie draft? What makes QFL great is all the different strategies that can be employed so keep that in mind when considering your ideal Constitution. Post your ideas in the comments or email your Commissioner.

  1. You should be able to play 3 TEs and you should be able to play a 0 RB formation. Also, it would be nice if there was a 2nd FAAB process each week. It’s just more money in the pot. I also think the current min to max roster limit is ridiculous (16 to 18). I cannot really choose to have value and depth on my roster when I am limited to 2 more players than the guys who spend 70% of their salary on 3 players. I think the max should be raised to 22.
