Although QFL III is finalizing its rookie draft, QFL nation is basically finished with Auction/Draft season.  It wasn’t easy.  The original QFL led the charge this year, holding its first all-remote auction. One participant called it, “the worst experience of his life.”  While clearly the statement was hyperbole, the QFL proved inept at basic technology. For example, one team was running internet explorer 6, and wondered, angrily, why fantrax wasn’t work, despite the prominent warning box at the top of the screen indicating the user needs IE9 or higher. BTW, this same owner angrily dispute his cap space claiming that the entire league and fantrax system couldn’t count, only to find out that his master spreadsheet included an extra cell.

Updates are coming in from QFL parallel leagues. However, information from QFL IV indicates that the draft room was “filled with clowns.” One observer indicated that “no one knew what they were doing,” and cited the fact that multiple rookies were nominated for bidding during the general auction.  The QFL is already investigating the QFL IV for its puppet regime, where one B. Ver Mulm appears to be commissioner in name and D. Ver Mulm appears to not only be running both QFL III, but also QFL IV.  The question is whether he is running two teams, which is a violation, of course.

QFL Masters kicked off its inaugural season, with grandeur hopes of crowning the ultimate QFL champion. However, to date no new rules (such as rules regarding relegation) have been institutionalized. Speaking of relegation, a popular sentiment is that the worst team – yet undefined – should be kicked out at the end of the year. To support this sentiment, there is a belief that there is a line of potential owners who would love to pick up a new QFL team.  It should be noted that 2 owners in the Master’s league claim to be sophisticated beer experts and at least three owners stated that they would be in significant trouble if their wives found out they were joining a new QFL.
