Week 13 is in the books and the 2012 QFL playoff seeds have been determined.

Winner’s Bracket

#1 STORMTROOPERS OF QUINCE (11-2, 1108.94)

Analysis: Best record and most points scored. It was a tough race for a while with both Josh and Seth challenging for the #1 seed, but both challengers faded over the last few games and couldn’t even secure the #1 seeds in their respective divisions.

#2 FAHQ (8-5, 915.39)

Analysis: FAHQ finished strong with 3 straight wins, including a huge win in the finale over PQB to overtake PQB for the division lead. The teams split head-to-head match-ups in weeks 4 and 13, but FAHQ had a dominant 5-1 division record to edge PQB’s strong 4-2 division record.

FAHQ annihilated QJ by almost 100 points in week 6, their only head-to-head match-up, which gives Shane a critical 1st round bye.

#3 QUINTORRIS JONES (8-5, 968.98)

Analysis: Changing team name from the despicable BQP moniker paid dividends as QJ was able to rally for back-to-back wins to end the season, including a huge win in the finale over TENQ (settled in a come-from-behind performance by the QJ kicker on Monday Night Football!) to overtake TENQ for the division lead. The teams split head-to-head match-ups in weeks 1 and 13, but QJ had the better division record (4-2 vs 2-4).

#4 TENACIOUS Q (8-5, 925.2)

Analysis: TENQ choked and dropped from contending from the #1 overall seed to not even winning the division, but did manage to secure the #4 seed by having beaten both PQB (week 3) and QTANG (week 8, by less than a half point!) in their only head-to-head match-ups.

#5 PHINEAS Q. BINGERFAT’s (8-5, 1024.76)

Analysis: PQB started strong, but also choked in the end, losing 3 straight and falling all the way from contending for the #1 seed to barely edging out QTANG for the #5 seed by winning in week 5 in their only head-to-head match-up.

#6 QTANG CLAN (8-5, 883.95)

Analysis: In sharp contrast to TENQ and PQB, QTANG finished strong with a league best (active) 5 game winning streak, which catapulted the team from bottom dwellers to the final seed in the Winner’s Bracket. Nice work.

Loser’s Bracket

#7 QUINCING BY COMMITTEE (6-7, 840.83)

Analysis: QBC had a huge week 13 victory over QUINCE in week 13 to sweep their head-to-head match-ups, move to 6-7 and secure the #7 seed and 1st round bye.

#8 QUINCE (6-7, 881.25)

Analysis: Despite the week 13 loss to QBC, QUINCE doesn’t fall far. A victory would have only moved them up one spot to #7 and QUINCE still gets a 1st round bye at #8.

#9 QUINCE UNITED (5-8, 932.83)

Analysis: If Ted ever releases is luck rankings, QU will likely win the title of least lucky team as they scored the 5th highest point total but finished in the #9 seed. This bodes well for his chances in the toilet bowl. QU beat former division rival HEPQ way back in week 2 to in their only head-to-head match-up.

#10 HEPATITIS Q (5-8, 772.16)

Analysis: HEPQ finished with back-to-back wins, so that may bode well for chances in the Loser’s Bracket, but Paul can’t be happy with a 10th place finish.

#11 FREDNEQ (4-9, 888.03)

Analysis: FRNQ has to be pleased by how well homer rookies RG3 and Morris are performing, but it wasn’t enough to overcome injuries and ineptitude from Garcon, Hernandez, McFadden and GB D/ST that lead to 5 straight losses to end the season. Prospects should be better next year.

#12 ORIGINAL QUINCELAR (1-12, 790.67)

Analysis: Speaking of next year, it can’t come soon enough for OQ. The franchise went into an immediate and drastic rebuilding mode after deciding to give up franchise player Arian Foster at the auction. The team is flush with young players and draft picks so the team has nowhere to go but up, but nonetheless, 1-12 is pretty pathetic.
