Starting half your team on bye is never recommended, but that’s exactly what happened in Thrice with Mexiq. The following four players on bye were left in the starting lineup:

Matt Ryan
Julio Jones
Matt Prater
ATL D

Thankfully Chris Johnson was active and put up the best game of his season so far to account for 25 of Mexiq’s 39 points. Final score: 79-39. For those wondering, the best players off the bench would not have netted a win. A fact not lost on Dan upon the commish levying a $2 fine for the roster violation:

I don’t know why I didn’t fix that, would have lost anyway so don’t feel so bad I was hung over and still coming down from my mighty Blue Devils football win on Saturday night.

Duncan & Kalb have offered to cover the $2 fine as a thank you for the easy week and remaining undefeated.

  1. This is third roster violation fine this season, for a whopping $6. Not only are teams giving away weeks, they’re devaluing the skins. Much like China, the QFL III is a currency manipulator.
