We’re three weeks away from the 2012 rookie draft and long overdue for some predictions.
#1 Quince (Ted) – Trent Richardson – For some reason Trent’s landing in Cleveland hasn’t dampened Ted’s enthusiasm. Big mistake. Ted is already bragging about this Cam Newton/Trent Richardson combination costing only $12 in 2013.
#2 DBQ (Jay) – Robert Griffin III – I mean is there really any question this ‘Skins homer doesn’t pick up RG3?
#3 QJ (Shades) – Doug Martin – Memories of Curtis Martin dance in his head.
#4 QTang (Benny) – Andrew Luck – Benny would never draft a hated Giants player even if it makes more sense for his team. Luck will cost $12 in three years as an O contract and then based on 2011 rookie contract pricing could be kept until 2016 at $12. Not bad value actually if Luck is as advertised.
#5 QBC (Jim/Ian) – David Wilson – Jim and Ian have a long history of stockpiling NYC based players. They will jump at the chance to handcuff Bradshaw.
#6 SOQ (Scott) – Isaiah Pead – It may be a reach to handcuff his Steven Jackson position with the #6 pick, but Scott doesnt pick again until #18 so he may have no choice.
#7 Queef (Paul) – Justin Blackmon – If he finally signs he would be the best player available. I dont see who else Paul would take at that point.
#8 OrigQ (Rishi) – Coby Fleener – Instant chemistry with Luck ought to result in fantasy relevancy.
#9 OrigQ (Rishi) – Michael Floyd – Best player left.
#10 TenQ (Seth) – Alshon Jeffery – Normally I would take an RB at all costs here, but who is worthy this high?
#11 QBC (Jim/Ian) – Reuben Randle – No question about it with these NYC homers.
#12 DBQ (McD) – Kirk Cousins – Jay isn’t a real Redskins fan if he doesn’t draft the backup to his other rookie QB in the same draft.
