The July 15 rule change deadline passed and the votes are in; “Duggan’s rule” failed, but you are now NOT allowed to cut more players within 48 hours of the Auction.

From Commissioner Nice Guy.

9 teams cast their vote by yesterday’s deadline:

– #1 passed 8 to 1

– #2 failed 6 to 3

#1 Rule 23, Section 2, Article 4 shall be amended to read ‘Rosters must be reduced to 8 players (not including QFLE palyers) exactly 2 weeks before the auction. Further roster cuts may take place until 48 hours prior to the start of the Auction. In an instance where a kept player is reported to be injured (as confirmed by football news outlets such as NFL.com or ESPN.com, etc.) during the 48 hour window between final cuts and the start of the Auction, a team may invoke an exception wherein a player may be cut for a 10 dollar fee (towards the kitty). In no event shall a team use this exception more than once per season (i.e., on more than one player per year).”

#2 If you are more than 45 minutes late to the scheduled auction time for any reason (except for lateness related to the the hosting venue (e.g, bad internet connection at the host, or the parties attending live, e.g, you’re locked out) you are fined $15 to the kitty. If you are more than 75 minutes late, you are fined $50. This second fine is additive to the first fine. The fine(s) may be waived by a unanimous vote of all owners present in the auction venue (i.e., owners attending in person).
