By default Sauri is the odds-on favorite to replace the departing Pope Paul-I this summer as the 7th QFL Commissioner. No other potential candidate, who hasn’t already served, is considered viable. Complicating the situation, Pope Paul has yet to recommend a successor. More…
Every possible successor to Paul has major shortcomings according to QSN analysis.
Possible Successors and Their Shortcomings:
- Rishi – Still a shady lawyer at heart.
- Shades – Hasn’t cared about anything since 1980.
- Shane – Republican.
- Jim/Ian – Have never read Constitution. Don’t even know what the farm system rule is called, let alone used it.
- Benny – Yeah right. Too many shortcomings to list here.
That leaves only Scott as a possibilty. Many QFLers will note that he runs the League already anyway so his succession is a given in their eyes. There is a minority view, however, that giving one mere mortal the power of bean-counter with exclusive manager area rights and the title of Commissioner is inviting corruption and abuse on a scale not seen since the 111th Congress.
But, whatever your politics, the season is around the corner and the League needs to start thinking about this and a scheduling the Auction.
Be optimistic jackasses! There will be a season!

*Let me know if I got the succession order or dates wrong. I know I did.
FahQ is comfortable with Scott being Commish and Bean Counter. If anybody can handle this unprecedented power and authority its him.
