Sure, week 9 is about to happen, but better late than never on the week 8 wrap up. Right?

The scene hasn’t changed much. Morons? Still undefeated. The west division? Still can’t win a game. The south division? A three way tie for first with the fourth team just one game behind.

#1 Balti-Morons — (8-0; 76.23 avg. points) Another week, another win.  Did the team panic after seeing Britt go down by overpaying for Tamme?  Yes.  The Morons now have the most expensive TE duo with Witten & Tamme ($6 & $9 respectively)

#2 Qutane – (5-3; 76.41 avg. points) The good news for the commish is that it looks like D-Jax will be ready to go this week, and combined with Nicks returning from bye the explosive WR combo is back.  Perhaps the toughest match up in week 9 though going against Tom & QE.

#3 Vote Quimby — (5-3; 74.55 avg. points) Well, Matt Moore was at least able to put up positive points.  Eric got monster games out of Gates and the GB DEF to mask the shaky QB position.  Swapping Campbell for Moore is a vast improvement.

#4 Quickly Eliminated – (5-3; 70.78 avg. points) It may have been the ugliest game of the week, but with only 48 points Tom got a win, moving to a 3 week winning streak.  Dumped the under-performing Dallas DEF for OAK…probably a good move.

#5 Qtopia — (5-3; 73.02 avg. points) Facing bye-week hell, Doug was forced to start Fasano and Deon Butler, who went on to put up just a combined 4 points.  All might have been well since his opponent had just one player in double digits points.  The downside is that player was Megatron with 28.  Also got Romo back in free agency at a $4 discount (now L1 $18).

#6 Golden Smoot – (3-5; 63.85 avg. points) They may have a 4 game losing streak and a losing record overall, but Smoot is your West division leader.  Moving right along…

#7 The Russing Russians – (4-4; 66.00 avg. points) When looking at the standings, Nick may be in last place in the south, but he’s right in the thick of contention.  How was Blount left on waivers for this team to pick up a few weeks ago!?  With an RB core of Rice, McFadden, and Blount — and a WR rotation of Bowe, Andre Johnson, & Steve Johnson the team is certainly playoff caliber.

#8 Revenge of the Cox – (4-4; 65.16 avg. points) That was ugly, just barely getting over 30 points in a losing effort.  Moss going to TEN means he’ll have a bye week after all, which will force Chase to put up Brandon LaFell in his place this week.

#9 Raging Alcoholics – (3-5; 66.52 avg. points) Steve Slaton is the team’s one and only starting RB this week!?  Dan should be hoping Culter puts up a monster game without 4 INTs….

#10 Goonie Goo Goo – (3-5; 58.99 avg. points) That was a big win last week — even if driven mainly by just one player.  Paul isn’t out of playoff contention, but needs a strong finish to get there.

#11 Ron Mexiq – (2-6; 65.09 avg. points) Make it a 5 week losing streak… Actually didn’t have that bad of a week, putting up nearly 70 in the loss.  Has to play the Morons this week and has half the team going on MNF.

#12 Al Toon All Stars – (1-7; 56.19 avg. points) Mike has the worst record in QFL3, but is just 2 games behind 1st in the West. All is not lost at this point. (Yea, it’s carbon copy from last week….but it remains true!)
