Pope Paul warned QFL1 this afternoon about the perils of relying on AllStar Stat’s waiver evaluator at this early stage in the season. It’s a warning for all of QFL Nation because it happens every year and yet everyone forgets. Your leagues waiver wire is likely not clearing properly and won’t for a few weeks probably, so you should do it by hand (waivers that is). Â
From Pope Paul.
Qs,
Seeing that we are completing week one, waiver claims should be handled completely through the software tomorrow night. Of course, A.S.S. is not cooperating. Scott tried to run the evaluator a few times to clear the list last week, and it did not do anything. As such, players who were cut several weeks ago are still annoyingly listed under waivers. Moreover, although we are keeping our fingers crossed that the evaluator will run properly this week, we are not really sure what is going to happen at midnight on Wednesday morning. As such, if you are wanting to claim someone off waivers this week, please follow the following instructions:
1) If you want to claim a player, they have to be listed on the “OK TO CLAIM†list below. If, in the alternative, a player is listed on the “DO NOT CLAIM OR FACE MONSTER FINES†list, it means that the player has already cleared waivers (of course, these players are available as free agents on Wednesday) and you should not place a waiver bid on him.
2) Place your bid as you normally would through the “Add Player-Lowest Claim†feature in the software. Again, make sure the player you are selecting is on the OK TO CLAIM list. In addition, email your request to commissionerq at yahoo.com.
3) If you are concerned that something is going to get screwed up (e.g. the evaluator will not run; the hotmail address is wrong, your message will get sent to the commq spam folder, etc.), I suggest that you take a screenshot of your “Pending Evaluations†page in the software. If everything works, you can then delete the file. If it doesn’t, you can make my life easier when I sort everything out on Wednesday.
Let me know if you have any questions.
