A post-Auction review of QFL2 contenders by Commissioner Berlage.
There was a lot of action.  NOJOQ asserted himself pre-draft as somebody who wants to compete immediately. He made a move for the rights to Roddy White. I declined his offer of a 2nd round pick and told him I thought he was worth a $17 contract. NOJOQ had the highest bid on the transition tagged player at…….$17. But he then bumped his final bid to $20. I kicked myself for saying too much prior to the draft but still matched the $20 price tag.
Â
- Rob (NOJOQ) ended up with an above average roster and looks like a contender already.
- Josh has perhaps the most impressive starting line up and seems unlikely to miss the playoffs again this year.
- Nik retained some tremendous talent and has probably the most impressive full roster for the 2nd year in a row.
- Tarek did a nice makeover of his roster and when complimented responded, “Thanks first time in 3 years that I’ll field a competitive teamâ€
- I have the Qonies relying heavily on proven veterans again without a lot of depth……but barring injuries a tough beat each week.
- Will has a solid roster but will need some surprises each week to post really big numbers.
- Reuven has one of the top two RB squads starring Chris Johnson and with Jermichael Finley at TE and Greg Jennings he could assemble a mean wishbone almost every week.
At first glance, these are the contenders…..but different players step up every year and who really knows which rookies will make the biggest impacts?
