The word from organizers (Rishi) is there will be no QFL5 this year. That means your only chance to join QFL Nation is to adopt a team in 2010.  QFL4 has many open teams, so QSN readers, this is the start of the adopt a QFL4 team pledge drive. The 2010 campaign to fill all vacant QFL team positions starts with a video.

The fourth colony League has been hit by mass defections now totaling half its members and needs help. Most teams left in protest over the playoff seeding fiasco according to sources. Some left due to scoring no doubt as well. But both situations are fixable and will be addressed before this season.

A few of the remaining QFL4 owners are calling the overturn in their league “catastrophic”, but senior QFL officials are more upbeat noting how common it is for there to be turnover after the first year and that it’s still early enough in the off-season to find new owners.

Besides some of the orphaned teams aren’t that bad, 4 of the teams own top-4 rookie picks:

Team 1 (formerly Sean O Sean): 9th pick, Jets D ($1 L1), DeAngelo ($25 L1), J.Stewart ($3 L1), Colston ($12 L1), Boldin ($15 L1), Jennings ($12 L1), Welker ($8 L1), O.Daniels ($3 L1) and McFadden ($8 L1), Roethlisberger ($4 L1)

Team 2 (formerly Dan McN): 2nd pick, H.Nicks ($2 L1-QFLE), Brady ($21 L1), Turner ($31 L1), Grant ($11 L1), Marshall ($6 L1), Harvin ($3 L1), Balt D ($3 L1), LenDale White ($6 L1)

Team 3 (formerly Chi Plz): 4th pick, Flacco ($2 L1), Ochocinco ($10 L1), Forte ($28 L1), Lynch ($8 L1), Larry Johnson ($7 L1), Cooley ($4 L1)

Team 4 (formerly TD Face): 3rd pick, Shonn Greene ($2 L1-QFLE), Chester Taylor ($1 L1-QFLE), Romo ($ 9L1), Roddy White ($14 L1), Witten ($10 L1), Felix Jones ($3 L1), NYG D ($3 L1), Addai ($7 L1),  D. Brown ($2 L1)

Team 5 (formerly Matt Sm.): 10th pick, Brees ($24 L1), McCoy ($5 L1), D. Jackson ($8 L1), Mendenhall ($3 L1), Slaton ($26 L1), Celek ($2 L1), Parker ($5 L1), IND D ($1 L1),

Team 6 (formerly DC Dawgs): 1st pick, Matt Ryan ($10 L1), Moreno ($15 L1), Holmes ($4 L1), Manningham ($4 L1)

Child Pleez and DC Dawgs will be the hardest to adopt. Aside from the QFL4 abandonments, there is one open spot in QFL3, but that is being fought over by two parties already. The guy is leaving because he sold Rishi’s house and doesn’t want to deal with him anymore.

Charlie is a little shaky about his QFL2 team without certain assurances of scoring changes and progress on QFL colony leagues getting a seat on COMCOMM.
