QFL3 Completes First Free Agency

About an hour after midnight ET last night General Radeck released the results of QFL3’s first round of free agency. Thankfully there were no ties or tree bids. But there were some surprises revealed including that players like Hines Ward, Fred Jackson and Brandon Jackson had gone undrafted!

FAHQ Lands Huggins in QFL1’s Second Round of Free Agency

Pope Paul finally got around to releasing the results of last night’s free agent bids at 10:35am ET. There were two ties and at least one bid omission which still has to be resolved. Future superstar Kareem Huggins attracted four bids with FahQ eventually winning a three-way tie. Seattle’s Mike Williams recevied two bids from Rishi and Scott while TenQ’s Keiland Williams bid is missing.

General Radeck Retreats

QFL3 free agent bids will be accepted via email by midnight tonight. General Radeck wisely retreated from the idea of conducting pre-season free agency using A.S.S., but would not rule out the possibility of using A.S.S. in future weeks. The General did not indicate how tie bids would be resolved or if tree bids would be allowed tonight.

No Waiver Claims, QFL1 FA Bids Due Tonight

QFL1’s Commissioner “Pope” Paul announced this morning that no waiver claims had been placed last night and that free agency bidding was on track for tonight.

QFL2 Voting on Stuff

Commissioner Berlage “The Bull” called for a vote on using LeagueSafe and when to hold free agency in two separate emails just after midnight last night.

How Would 18 Games Affect QFL Rules?

You heard it here first a month ago, NFL owners are seriously considering an 18 game season, and will discuss it more today at the owners meeting in Atlanta. The big question on everyone’s mind is, how would this affect QFL rules, like schedule, playoffs and skins? Would we play one non-division opponent twice during the regular season? Make playoffs 4 games instead of 3? Extend skins pay out for two more weeks? Let COMCOMM hear it. EOM.

General Radeck Hopes to Open QFL3 Free Agency Tomorrow

In an email communication to his League this afternoon, General Radeck expressed his hope to open free agency bidding by tomorrow night. Radeck went on to explain the free agency bidding process using A.S.S., including tree bids.

Bad idea.

In the off-season there is no way for A.S.S. to resolve ties. Then throw in the ability to make tree bids and you have the makings of an administrative nightmare. The first QFL has been doing off-season free agency via email for years for a reason. Radeck is about to find out why.
