Trent may be an elite talent, but he landed in Cleveland, the land of the lost RB. He might put up 2010 Peyton Hillis numbers but there are less risky options for #1 overall. Can you name one of the Browns OL? Andrew Luck is also a reach that early. Until Cam Newton, rookie QBs never really did much in their first years. I’m betting for mean reversion.

The Giants scouting is the best in the business. If they take an RB with their first pick, you have to pay attention. Bradshaw’s feet haven’t lasted a whole season in a couple years. For dynasty/keeper teams, Wilson represents the only safe long-term pick at #1. I understand the question marks around Blaine Gabbert, but I view the Justin Blackmon pick almost the same as the Andy Dalton/AJ Green situation last off-season. Blackmon, like AJ Green did with Dalton, will make Gabbert look like an elite QB. With the #3 overall pick, there is more upside to Blackmon than a Andrew Luck pick, even in dynasty/keeper leagues.

Megatron Jinxed by Madden Cover

Seth, Rob and Eric (all division winners last year) got totally screwed yesterday when it was announced that Calvin Johnson Wins Madden Vote. It is a well established fact that once you’re on that cover, you get hurt, turn into a pussy or get caught fighting dogs. Just ask Peyton Hillis, last year’s cover “winner”.

Running back Peyton Hillis, then a member of the Cleveland Browns, won the fan vote last year, but was plagued by injuries and controversy in a hectic 2011 season. Hillis said before winning the “Madden NFL 12″ cover that he wasn’t afraid of the curse, but after rushing for just 587 yards last season, Hillis said in December that he now believes in the cover jinx.

Thrice Debt Collectors Out Harassing People

Almost 4 months after the Super Bowl, Thrice Commissioner Doug is still trying to collect outstanding debts in order to pay out the 2011 winners. At least his League isn’t The Deuce. That QFL League is still waiting to see any kind of Commissioner Report, despite the promise of one weeks ago. The First QFL paid out months ago.

Deuce Commish Promises 2011 Commissioner Report Next Week

The QFL and QFL Thrice Commissioners have issued 2011 year end Commissioner Reports (Thrice’s just last week) prompting Deuce Commissioner Berlage to promise to release one for his League next week.

I’ve been mia on QFL since second week of playoffs [he means first week. Got crushed by NOJOQ 113-60] My wife’s leaving on a cruise Sunday [your wife is going without you? Lucky bastard] I should have time this week to catch up.

Yeah sure he will. But I bet NOJOQ, Membrillos, Morning Wood and Catch 42 will be happy to know their Commish isn’t dead, he’s just married.
